숙어처럼 쓰는 동사들에 대해 예제와 구조에 대해 작성해 보았습니다.

 

1. spend/ waste .... + ing

• I spent two hours getting ready.
• She wastes too much money eating out. She should cook more.

2. feel like + ing

• This song is so good I feel like dancing!
• I don't feel like driving. Can we take a taxi?

3. be busy + ing

• I haven't seen you much lately. Have you been busy working?
• Jain and Joan are busy making plans for the holidays.

4. have trouble/ difficulty +ing

• I'm having trouble using this photocopier. Can you help me?
• Do you have difficulty sleeping at night?

5. can't help +ing

• Pete is in love with Kay. He can't help thinking about her.
• I couldn't help buying this jacket. It looked so good on me.

6. be (not) worth +ing

• I didn't get the job. Well, It was worth trying.
• The problems aren't serious. They're not worth arguing about.

7. Would/ Do you mind + ing

• I'm a bit cold. Would you mind turning off the fan? - Of course not.
• Do you mind getting some apple juice from the store? - Not at all.

8. It takes/ costs to

• It took 30 minutes to get to work.
• I like that hotel, but it costs too much to stay there.

8가지 문장을 만들어 보았습니다. 한국어로 번역한 것보다는 문장을 읽어보고 의미를 유추하는 연습이 중요한 것 같습니다. 최근 영어문장을 써보고, 또 써보면서 1:1 번역은 어렵다는 것을 느끼게 되었습니다. 이번에는 한국어 번역은 올리지 않았습니다.
